Rehabilitation providers must be approved by NT WorkSafe in order to provide vocational rehabilitation services for injured workers. NT WorkSafe used the Nationally Consistent Approval Framework to consider applications for approval of providers.

Rehabilitation providers play an integral role in helping injured workers return to work. They have the qualifications, experience and expertise appropriate to provide timely intervention, with services based on the assessed need of the worker and the workplace.

Rehabilitation providers can provide a range of services within their expertise that may include:

  • workplace assessment;
  • job analysis
  • advice concerning job modification
  • vocational assessment
  • advise or assistance in relation to job seeking; and
  • advice or assistance in arranging vocational re-education or retraining.
