A plant inspector is a person registered under Regulation 33 by the Northern Territory Work Health Authority to inspect designated plant as detailed in Schedule 1 – Part 2 of the Workplace Health and Safety Regulations.
A plant inspector inspects designated plant at intervals as specified by a standard specified in the Regulations or the manufacturer including the initial item registration. Designated plant are items of high risk machinery or equipment that have the potential to cause serious injury or death if there is a mechanical failure. Designated plant includes:
