Under Northern Territory legislation all employers must hold a workers' compensation insurance policy to cover all their workers. Insurance companies must be approved by NT WorkSafe to sell workers' compensation insurance and they are responsible for managing claims from injured workers.
Insurance premiums are market driven and set by individual insurers based upon claims performance.
The NT WorkSafe Workers Compensation
Claim Form
is the only approved form for lodging a workers compensation claim in the Northern Territory. In the event of a work related injury or disease, an employer or worker should download this form. Both the injured worker and the employer must complete the claim form by following these
instructions
