Workers who are injured in the course of their employment are entitled to workers’ compensation.

In the Northern Territory workers’ compensation insurance claims are handled by approved insurers and self-insurers.

The employer must take all reasonable steps to provide the injured worker with suitable employment and must as far as practicable participate in efforts to retrain the injured worker.
