Workplace Hazards

Every workplace has hazards. A workplace hazard is anything that has the potential to cause harm to a person. Hazards can take the form of items, such as machinery to a person’s work environment, such as working at heights or a slippery floor.

Hazards in the workplace should be identified and the risk of the hazard causing an injury should be assessed. Reducing the risk of the hazard causing injury is an important step towards maintaining workplace safety.
